The Advantages of Laser Etching

Laser Etching offers some distinct advantages over other forms of marking:

• The etch is placed directly on to the component
• It is non-damaging to the component and there is no need to clamp items
• Lasers offer high precision (the laser beam can be focused to 30 microns) allowing even the smallest of components to be marked
• No deterioration in the quality of the mark
• Laser etching is permanent, tamper proof and resistant to damage from chemicals and abrasion
